Credits, Recognition of Prior Learning, & Mutual Recognition

At Danford College, you can have your existing qualifications and current skills recognised through various ways, including Credit Transfer, Course Credit, Recognition of Prior Leaning, and Mutual Recognition.

Credit Transfer

Credit Transfer is recognition for study you have already completed. To be granted a Credit Transfer, you must:

  • Be enrolled in the relevant program at Danford College;
  • Complete and submit the Credit Transfer Application Form to Danford College;
  • Provide Danford College with certified copies of your qualifications, a Statement of Attainment or a Statement of Results.

For further information, please read the Credit Transfer Policy.

Course Credit

Course Credit is a form of assessment through which we may recognise the skills you may have gained through formal qualifications from other institutions in Australia. To be granted a Course Credit, you must:

  • Have Qualifications and Statements of Attainment from other institutes conducting Australian Nationally Recognised Training
  • Provide other evidence of competency in the units of the course (submitted on or before enrolment)

Applicants are advised that a Course Credit may result in the shortening of the Student Visa duration and the re-issuing of the Confirmation of Enrolment to reflect this change.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a process that recognises your current skills and experience regardless of where and when the learning has occurred.

Your application can be based on any combination of formal or informal training and education, work experience, or general life experience.

For further information and to apply for RPL, please visit RPL Policy

Mutual Recognition

Mutual Recognition is a process that recognises Qualifications or Statements of Attainment issued by another Registered Training Organisation in Australia for units of competencies that are the same as the ones you intend to enrol in at Danford College.

To receive mutual recognition, you must:

  • Be enrolled in the relevant program at Danford College;
  • Provide us with copies of your qualifications, a Statement of Attainment or a Statement of Results along with your Credit Transfer Form.
