Credits, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Mutual Recognition
At Danford College you can access a number of processes to have your current skills recognised including Credit Transfer, Course Credit, Recognition of Prior Leaning and Mutual Recognition.
Credit transfer is recognition for study you have already completed. To receive Credit Transfer, you must be enrolled in the relevant program. Credit Transfer can be granted if you provide Danford College with certified copies of your qualifications, a Statement of Attainment or a Statement of Results along with Credit Transfer Application Form. ( For further information please visit Credit Transfer Policy)
Course credit is a form of assessment through which we recognize the skills you may have gained through formal qualifications from other institutions. Course credit will be granted to candidates who have Qualifications and Statements of Attainment from other institutes conducting Australian Nationally Recognized Training. Applications for course credit will also be considered from students who can provide other evidence of competency in the units of the course. This should be provided on or before enrolment. Applicants are advised that the granting of course credit may result in the shortening of the duration of their student visa and the reissuing of the confirmation of enrolment to reflect this change.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Recognition of Prior Learning is a process that recognises your current skills and experience regardless of where and when the learning has occurred. Your application can be based on any combination of formal or informal training and education, work experience or general life experience.
To apply for Recognition of Prior Learning and further information please visit RPL Policy and Procedure.
Mutual recognition is a process that recognises qualifications or Statements of Attainment issued by another Registered Training Organisation for units of competencies that are the same as the ones you intend to enrol in.
To receive mutual recognition, you must be enrolled in the relevant program. Mutual recognition can be granted if you provide us with copies of your qualifications, a Statement of Attainment or a Statement of Results along with your application.
